Top 3 Things to do in Manhattan
When you visit the ‘City that never sleeps’, I am sure you will be too excited to sleep as well. With so many things to do, you may get confused about where to go first. Here are the top three things you should do in Manhattan.
Central Park
Taking a stroll through Central Park is one of the best things you can do in New York city. It’s a great way to unwind, after walking down all the busy streets and with knowing it’s free to visit, you won’t have to worry about your budget. Central Park is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the whole world. It is also one of the most filmed places in the world. Who knows, you might even get to see a movie being filmed. You can wander through the park with your own two feet, or rent a bicycle in one of the numerous places outside the park. If you are feeling adventurous, go for a horse and carriage ride.
The Empire State Building
Until 1970, the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world. It was constructed in 1931 and is listed as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. To attract visitors, it has been featured in various movies such as King Kong, Elf, Independence Day and Superman II. You will not be only seeing a great view of a great city, you will also be visiting a historic landmark and one of the most famous buildings in the world.
Times Square
Times Square is one of the most famous intersections of the world. This street junction attracts over 50 million people a year, making it one of the world's most popular intersection.
Every New Year’s Eve, thousands of people gather to watch the ball drop, making this the most famous place in the world to welcome the New Year. During the other 364 days, it is as much crowded and popular as any other days. Visitors gawk at the millions of light that adore the billboards. It seems like the Times Square is always changing, with bigger and better billboards and new attractive shops. If you are looking for a place with is bustling and noisy, this is perfect place for you to visit.
Tip: Make sure to see Manhattan during day and night. The lighting makes it a whole different experience.
